What constitutes a LEGAL Shin guard?

Given the wide variety of shin guards sold at sports outlets, the following should be used to determine the legality of the player’s shin guards:

The shin guard is to be age appropriate, which translates into adequate protection of the player’s shin. If the shin guard being used has been manufactured for that purpose, and covers at least 50% of the shin, it shall be considered a legal shin guard. The sock covering the shin guard may not be tucked into the guard, but must be worn in the manner originally intended.
